Welcome Back, Arrow Lakes Teachers’ Association Members!
As we begin a new school year, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all of you—and especially to the many new teachers who are joining our staff this year. We’re so glad to have you with us. To support new colleagues, we’re excited to continue our joint teacher mentorship program with the school district, creating opportunities for collaboration, guidance, and professional growth. Looking ahead, there are a number of important events on our calendar:
- Fall Zone Meeting – October 18–19 in Cranbrook
- BCTF Fall Representative Assembly – November 7–8 in Victoria
- Provincial Bargaining – currently underway and an important focus for us all
In addition, our Professional Development planning will begin this month. If you have ideas or suggestions, please share them with your staff rep or our Pro-D chair so we can continue to build meaningful learning opportunities together.
Most importantly, I wish everyone a smooth and restful start to the school year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly if you have any concerns or questions—your voices matter, and together we make our union strong.
In solidarity,
Keith Greenhalf
President, Arrow Lakes Teachers’ Association
